Biography
Jorge Carrión is a writer and cultural critic. He directs the Master’s in Literary Creation at UPF-BSM and regularly writes for La Vanguardia. He was a columnist for seven years for The New York Times and The Washington Post. He is the author of the novels Los muertos, Los huérfanos, Los turistas, and Los difuntos (collected in the tetralogy Las huellas), as well as Membrana and Todos los museos son novelas de ciencia ficción; and of the narrative essays Australia. Un viaje, Teleshakespeare, Librerías, Barcelona. Libro de los pasajes, Contra Amazon, and Lo viral. He is also the creator of the podcasts Solaris, Ecos, and Gemelos digitales; the documentary series Booklovers; and the writer of several graphic novels and art exhibitions. He has received, among others, the Ondas Award, the Ciudad de Barbastro Novel Prize, the Ciudad de Badajoz Journalism Award, the Zenda Innovation Prize, and the Serra d’Or Critics Award. His work is published by Galaxia Gutenberg and has been translated into fifteen languages.

Il a été chroniqueur pendant sept ans pour The New York Times et The Washington Post. Il est l’auteur des romans Los muertos, Los huérfanos, Los turistas et Los difuntos (réunis dans la tétralogie Las huellas), ainsi que de Membrana et Tous les musées sont des romans de science-fiction. Il a également publié des essais narratifs tels que Australia. Un viaje, Teleshakespeare, Librerías, Barcelone. Livre des passages, Contre Amazon et Le viral.
Il est aussi le créateur des podcasts Solaris, Ecos et Jumeaux numériques ; de la série documentaire Booklovers ; et le scénariste de plusieurs romans graphiques et expositions d’art. Il a reçu, entre autres, le prix Ondas, le prix Ciudad de Barbastro de roman, le prix Ciudad de Badajoz de journalisme, le prix Zenda de l’innovation et le prix de la critique Serra d’Or. Son œuvre est publiée par Galaxia Gutenberg et traduite dans quinze langues.
