Jorge Carrión, born in Tarragona in 1976, has resided primarily in Mataró and Barcelona. He holds a PhD in Humanities from the Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona, where he currently directs the Master’s program in Creative Writing. His academic and literary trajectory includes extended residences in Buenos Aires and Rosario (Argentina), and Chicago (USA). Carrión is a regular contributor to prominent periodicals such as La Vanguardia, having also published in the Spanish editions of The New York Times and The Washington Post. He is author of a tetralogy of novels Las huellas ⎻Los muertos, Los huérfanos, Los turistas and Los difuntos⎻as well as the speculative fiction works Membrana and Todos los museos son novelas de ciencia ficción. His notable non-fiction works include Australia. Un viaje, Teleshakespeare, Bookshops, Barcelona. Libro de los pasajes, Contra Amazon and Lo viral. Together with the illustrators Sagar and Javier Olivares, Carrión has authored several graphic novels including El Museo (Sagar) and Warburg & Beach (Olivares). Carrión is the creator and narrator of the award winning podcasts Solaris. Ensayos sonoros and Ecos. His work has been translated into fifteen languages.
